The 80/20 Principle

People spend far too much time fretting about which particular diet is best, which training programme to follow and some of the minor details, such as ‘are bananas bad for me?’.

This all matters to a degree but the reality is that for most people these details are an unnecessary distraction.  The outcome of your programme  will come down to 20% planning and 80% application.

You can have the best training and nutritional programme ever devised written for you, but if you dilly-dally and fart-arse about you’ll get the square root of bugger all out of it.

A mediocre programme followed consistently and with purpose will always trump the best programme done sporadically and half-heartedly.

Basics first, details second.
